My Story
Fun fact about my yoga journey: I hated the first yoga class I attended. I was not flexible enough, I could not relate to what the teacher was saying, it was difficult to do the different poses and to calm my mind. As a perfectionist the struggle was real! I felt not good enough, not fit enough and generally stressed out. Yoga being relaxing? No way!
SPOILER ALERT: I know by now that you do not need to be flexible to practice Yoga. Come to my class and find out! :-)
How I fell in love with Yoga
Fast forward a few years later, I gave it another try and what can I say, it was love at second sight! Since almost 10 years Yoga, including Meditation & Breathwork, form a big part of my life and are essential for my wellbeing.
Yoga helps me to cultivate acceptance towards myself and the feeling of peace coming from within. As a perfectionist always giving it my 200% everywhere in life and making results, or other people’s opinion dictate my worth, this was a game changer!
Yoga is not a work-out, rather a work-in and could not agree more! I learn so much about myself on the mat, that I can incorporate into my daily life off-the-mat. Becoming an observer of yourself is an interesting process, which I hope to make accessible to you through my classes.
My classes are designed to combine yoga philosophy, mindfulness, breath and movement to apply to our modern day life. My approach is to stay curious and playful, always with a hint of humor, so that you can leave class hopefully feeling calmer, warm at heart and with your beautiful smile across your face.
My teaching is influenced from different Yoga styles such as Vinyasa, Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra.
